HOW DOES OINTMENT DRESSING “WORK”
The polyester mesh does not stick to the wound, preventing damage to the tissue newly formed during the wound healing process, and maintains the elasticity of the wound edges. The mesh cells hold a neutral hydrophobic ointment. The hydrophobic layer of ointment on the wound surface prevents it from drying out and creates an optimal temperature regime. All this leads to rapid healing of wounds that are cleared of dead tissue.
HOW TO USE OINTMENT DRESSING
Before applying ointment dressing, the wound surface must be treated with an antiseptic (antiseptics must be alternated). Open the individual packaging, remove the kraft paper with the dressing inside, apply only the mesh covered with ointment to the wound, then put a sterile gauze napkin on top and fix it with a plaster or bandage. The frequency of changing dressing is on average once every two days (or less often). The main indication for changing the dressing is the saturation of the overlying napkin with exudate.
